Is it ok for your job to give you an anxiety attack?

So over the weekend I went to event. And someone had an anxiety attack.

This individual was at the event because they were the related to the person organising the event. And this individual is a successful person who works 80 to 100 hours a week. They mentioned to my partner and I that they were looking to change careers.

The anxiety attack happened once the main activity of the event started.

This individual struggled with the ambiguity and imperfection of said activity. And no it wasn’t anything crazy like bungee jumping. Think picnic at the part type of mellow.

You couldn’t help but feel bad for them. The high stress from their profession was clearly bleeding into their personal life. To the point where it was hard to disconnect.

This is one of the reasons why I became a developer. I was tired of being called by clients during the weekend and I was tired of the high stress.
